There are 2 categories of business setup in UAE:

1. Free Zone Company

Free zones offer single window administration, and are established as independent jurisdictions that allow the expatriate entrepreneur to own a company wholly (100%). There is no requirement to appoint a UAE national as a service agent of a branch or as a partner if the business is setup in Free zones. Setting up local business in UAE has some restrictions, so, Free Zones act as a window to carry on 
international business trade.

2. Mainland Company
